Location & Scene Bible

Canonical spaces for the series, with the visual rules that keep a new still or video recognisably inside the same world. Each master is a source plate, not a frame to repeat indefinitely.

Approved scene masters

Every location begins with a geography, equipment standard and lighting logic. Coverage varies the angle, scale and action while preserving those anchors.

Jan's archived Morrowvale training room
Episode 1 · Archived simulation

Jan’s training room

An inherited early-1990s institutional training tape inside a beige 4:3 CRT world.

  • Laminate desk, period office furniture and one beige CRT.
  • Fictional xBase workbench; bitmap typography with restrained CRT fuzz.
  • Dark terminal working surface inside the period shell.
Gil's canonical modest home office
Episodes 1–2 · Simulated home

Gil’s office

A modest one-monitor home office whose surroundings can be rationed without changing its basic geography.

  • One ordinary monitor, one desk, practical chair and a window before downgrade.
  • The simulation exterior is subtly too regular; the poster afterward has no text.
  • Gil owns the Windows 95-era terminal, even when Sam views it remotely.
Samantha's grounded bedroom and home workstation
Episode 2 · Real world

Sam’s home workstation

A believable teenager’s bedroom and Morrowvale-issued Mac, not a futuristic command centre.

  • Light novice-default Mac interface; compact chrome and modest depth.
  • School-age objects and inexpensive furniture keep Sam visibly 15.
  • Exterior and interior belong to the real world, unlike Gil’s repeating simulation.
Street-level arrival lobby at Morrowvale's Toronto research campus
Episode 3 · Toronto · Arrival

Morrowvale street lobby

The public threshold: warmer, busier and unmistakably before the research office in screen geography.

  • Warm limestone, black steel, timber reception and real street glass.
  • Sam arrives with the research lead; temporary lanyard and youthful placement wardrobe.
  • Use as the first interior after the exterior establishing shot, never after lab coverage.
Bright Morrowvale evaluation floor with off-white integrated workstations
Episode 3 · Playground threshold

Evaluation floor arrival

The canonical bright perimeter evaluation zone: clinical and minimal, but recognisably an office rather than science-fiction scenery.

  • Seamless off-white planes, pale grey resin floor, frosted partitions and diffuse window light.
  • Off-white integrated desks, standard flat monitors, full-size keyboards and mice.
  • No black desks, black glass, dark industrial-lab treatment or control/robotics devices.
  • Researchers are under 27 and dress like modern technical staff, not bankers.
Canonical off-white Morrowvale developer workstation with ordinary monitor, keyboard and mouse
Episodes 3–4 · Equipment lock

Standard Playground workstation

The canonical off-white hardware and desk geography from which close-ups, reverses and moving coverage are derived.

  • Ordinary flat monitor, visible full-size keyboard, normal mouse and restrained task light.
  • Screen content is authored in HTML during composition; generated screens remain unreadable.
  • Keep the integrated off-white desk, frosted glazing, window light and monitor proportions stable across coverage.
  • Reject black desks, knobs, audio consoles and futuristic input devices.
Young Morrowvale team on the Test Floor
Episode 4 · Next morning

The Test Floor

The same research family made more regimented: timestamp-led, operational and colder after the Playground decision.

  • Preserve Sam’s Episode 3 face and most of her outfit.
  • Squarer institutional windows and denser pale-grey interface grid.
  • Mechanical scans, clock ticks and status changes replace playful customisation motion.
Bright regulated-bank isolation lab
Episodes 5–7 · London

Regulated bank security lab

A bright, credible high-security workplace. The institution is controlled and successful, not visually villainous.

  • Pale mineral surfaces, frosted glass, ordinary isolated workstation cells.
  • Formal bank and risk staff contrast with junior, practical Sam.
  • Keep the shared pipeline legible as infrastructure before its communication use is revealed.
Wide view of the bank incident room
Episode 7 · Same night

Incident room

The bank set under pressure, with wider operational geography and the same witnesses carried from the investigation.

  • Controlled urgency: more people and evidence, not flashing sci-fi alarm light.
  • Alternate wide lateral geography with the signed-control close group.
  • Exterior scale and a second institution establish spread before diagrams explain it.

Generation packet map

This is the practical lookup used before regenerating a still or motion take. If a monitor is visible, the matching PNG is supplied with the room and character reference; readable content is overlaid later.
